Play through the Cost of Living Crisis

Meet Quid Quest, a slightly unconventional boardgame, which educates and unites students suffering from the effects of current inflation. The game follows along the academic year, with each player awarded an average UK student maintenance loan. The aim of the game is to not go broke, which proves *rather* difficult with costs and obstacles thrown in the way. The game extends to online play, with online platforms and resources to help students work through a very real challenge.

Branding Some Very Buzzed Bees: Commodifying the Rare Mad Honey

I chose the bold approach to the Pearlfisher brief, turning a rare Turkish honey (aka Deli Bal) into FunnyHoney, a daring and eccentric brand. The honey contains Grayanotoxins, compounds found naturally in alpine growing Rhododendron flowers in which the honeybees harvest from. The honey is far from a buzzkill, with elating (and in rare cases, hallucinogenic) effects, praised in traditional medicine and celebrated for thousands of years, with the first know historical record of Mad Honey dating back to 401 BC. The brand’s intriguing and adventurous products reflect on the intended customer base, for free-spirited individuals looking to escape the ordinary and to enjoy the wonders of the natural world.

Universal Music presents: Sound System, An Ecosystem of Music

For my personal entry in D&AD, I branded the annual Universal Music festival, aiming to bring together the staff to celebrate their collective successes. For a theme of togetherness, I branded the event ‘Sound System’, playing on the idea of the company’s ecosystem, where every part is integral in ensuring the survival of the system as a whole. The suspenseful, rich jungle visuals extend across multiple touchpoints, from digital publicity preceding the event, to in-venue installations. This project was integral for refining my 3D modelling and motion graphic skills and pursuing my passion of event design.
