One of the most common injuries on a racing yacht is burns.
These injuries mainly occur when pouring boiling or hot water to make food and drinks.

FREEZE DRIED FOOD & DRINKS
1: Pour in water. 2: Select boil then start. 3: While the water is boiling pour the freeze dried food into the flask. 4: Once the water has boiled lock the flask into the base of the cooker. 5: Select pour, choose the volume of water to dispense then press start. 6: Unlock the flask from the cooker.
VACUUM PACKED FOOD
1: Unlock and remove the lid. 2: Fill the cooker with water. 3: Remove the basket from the lid and insert vacuum food. 4: Select simmer and adjust the simmer time. 5: Once the food is cooked, remove from the basket. 6: Pour the food into the flask.
Flask Mounting – Flasks mount to the base of the cooker, isolating users from boiling water. When the flask is locked in water is dispensed, by a pump, into the flask. This removes the need for users to handle boiling water.
Vacuum Food Basket – Makes it safer and easier to remove vacuum food from the pot. The integrated design means there are no loose components that could injure users.
Quick Fill Lid – Makes food preparation quicker as the lid doesn’t need to be removed. User safety is also improved as they can maintain three points of contact with the boat (keeping both feet and one hand in contact with boat).
Workflow & Controls – An electric heater allows the automation of heating modes and dispensing water. This gives users the ability to carry out other tasks while their food is cooking. Pre-set modes and the use of sensors makes operation simple and easy.
Disassembly – Components are clipped and bolted to a central frame (light blue). This allows the cooker to be serviced before or during a race. It also removes the need to pack heavy spare hobs and improves logistics for teams as they are able to buy and store standardised spares.
