Hello! I enjoy using graphic design as a tool to communicate a narrative. I am very passionate about film and photography, and I try to incorporate different aspects of each in my work to create visually compelling stories.
The plot of this short story follows a dangerous relationship between a mother and her daughter. Unable to cope with the independence of her daughter, Sharon indulges in rather sinister and manipulative behaviour in an attempt to achieve what she truly wants – total control over her daughter.
The narrative itself was inspired by the prompt ‘Intangible Tangible’ given for the Roulette Competition by The Cameron Day Charitable Trust. It touches on the themes of manipulation, anxiety and Munchausen syndrome by proxy and how all of these can be witnessed in the form of a toxic relationship between a parent and their child.
