I am a print student with a strong interest in sportswear, specifically in exploring how different materials can enhance athletic performance.
Final Project
A spring/summer unisex running wear collection that celebrates the beauty of human movement. It is a fusion of aesthetics and functionality, inspired by the dynamic and rhythmic cadence found in various sports. It aims to empower individuals to move freely with confidence, allowing them to fully embrace the joy of physical movement.
To inform my design process, I immersed myself within the diverse world of sport at Loughborough University. I paid attention to the dynamic energy and elegance of movement, and observed and analysed the kinetics, rhythms, and gestures generated by the human body in sports such as netball, basketball and hockey. As well as drawing on site, I also captured videography where I was able to extract forms to generate geometric designs.
Material selection was a critical element in my collection. Not only do the materials I have selected play a pivotal role in the wearers performance, but they also accommodate the varying weather conditions that can be experienced during the spring and summer months.

This project was a men’s outerwear collection inspired by the Laugavegur trek I completed over the summer in Iceland. It had a strong focus on functionality and my prints took influence from the variety of different landscapes found on the trek including geothermal springs; volcanic sand deserts; rhyolite mountains; and glaciers.
