As a designer I am particularly interested in branding and illustrative work. I am currently working as a Digital Learning Designer in Leicestershire and have 2 years experience in the industry.

Daisy Jones and The Six

Daisy Jones and The Six cover design for the Penguin Book design competition. This is a fictitious book about a Rock and Roll band in the 70’s – the story of inner-romances, and how the band members eventually fell apart. I attempted to make my cover symbolise the 70’s era, as well as show ‘Americana’ themes within the book. It also featured nods to specific scenes and instruments subtly placed on the cover.

Primigenius Reserve

The brief was to design a product or service based around rarity. My response was based around real life de-extinction efforts taking place to bring mammoths back to life. I designed a mammoth reserve where visitors could meet and interact with the first mammoths in four thousand years, experience overnight stays and see the labs where these conservation efforts take place first hand. The experience would educate the public on issues of extinction and help fund these conservation efforts – whilst being a really fun, unique experience that people could have bragging-rights to their friends.

Brand insight: “The Primigenius Reserve is not merely a destination, it’s an immersive experience designed to bridge the gap between past and present, through the lens of groundbreaking scientific advancements. Named after the scientific nomenclature for the woolly mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius), this reserve embodies a pioneering spirit in wildlife conservation and education. At its core, Primigenius Reserve offers an exceptionally rare opportunity to witness the process of de-extinction first-hand, and interact with the majestic beings at the centre of this science. Unlike traditional wildlife parks or scientific facilities Primigenius Reserve melds cutting-edge research with guest engagement and education – providing a tangible link between visitors and the forefront of genetic research.”
