Final Project

A simplified camera and phone call device to be in use when phones are not permitted at concerts, providing users with the opportunity to capture memories and make emergency calls when inside live music arenas.

Clip Feature

Ensuring the product’s accessibility during concerts was a key focus of the design process. A sleek, integrated clip allows users to attach the product to their clothing or accessories, making it easy to grab when needed.

The Jam App

The Jam app will play a crucial role for the device, serving as the hub for photos transferred via Bluetooth and providing user instructions. Wire-framing and body-storming were essential in mapping out the app’s features and ensuring users can easily understand how to use the device at concert venues. Additionally, the app includes a memories archive, allowing users to revisit photos taken at their concerts from the comfort of their homes, whilst also seeing friends photos taken via a timeline feature.

Journey To The Show

User Experience Module

The brief tasked us with creating an app to help reduce domestic energy consumption, giving us complete freedom to determine its focal point. Working in groups, we conducted research and developed our own sub-brief, focusing on remote workers who lack designated workspaces and rely on communal areas. We then used our insights to individually create high-fidelity prototypes of the app.

After bodystorming our initial concept design, we created low-fidelity wireframes that revealed some ambiguities. The original app concept had a very complex feature set, which was overwhelming and confusing for users. We simplified these features in subsequent wireframes, ultimately leading to the final high-fidelity wireframe.
High-fidelity wireframes were developed following the initial wireframing and bodystorming sessions. The app’s design principles—encouraging, friendly, personalized, and intuitive—guided the design process, ensuring that all aspects of the app reflected these core characteristics.

Work Experience

Product Design Intern at Ticketmaster from July 2022 – July 2023

While working with the Marketplace Team, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a group of highly skilled designers. This experience constantly challenged me and significantly enhanced my skill set. The knowledge I gained was immensely beneficial for my final year, allowing my work to be thoroughly refined.
