Final Project
A simplified camera and phone call device to be in use when phones are not permitted at concerts, providing users with the opportunity to capture memories and make emergency calls when inside live music arenas.
Ensuring the product’s accessibility during concerts was a key focus of the design process. A sleek, integrated clip allows users to attach the product to their clothing or accessories, making it easy to grab when needed.
The Jam app will play a crucial role for the device, serving as the hub for photos transferred via Bluetooth and providing user instructions. Wire-framing and body-storming were essential in mapping out the app’s features and ensuring users can easily understand how to use the device at concert venues. Additionally, the app includes a memories archive, allowing users to revisit photos taken at their concerts from the comfort of their homes, whilst also seeing friends photos taken via a timeline feature.
User Experience Module
The brief tasked us with creating an app to help reduce domestic energy consumption, giving us complete freedom to determine its focal point. Working in groups, we conducted research and developed our own sub-brief, focusing on remote workers who lack designated workspaces and rely on communal areas. We then used our insights to individually create high-fidelity prototypes of the app.
