Final Project – Grip

Grip is a driving aid device designed to help those with arthritis soothe their arthritic symptoms to not impede their driving ability and maintain road safety of themselves and others.
Grips simple interface allows the user to adjust the heat intensity, and duration before equipping the device displayed by the three under-cloth LEDs represented at the bottom of the app screen.
Grips connected app also allows users to see information on their driving performance data, previous medical results, appoint scheduling and an online GP chat streamlining the process for patient GP referral for the arthritic symptoms.

Stakware – A sustainable and convenient student cutlery store

In the midsts of a constant push for sustainable development at universities, a key area of weakness is the improper disposal and loss of cutlery in the student accommodation/home by university students. With cutlery and kitchenware being the 6th most common items in landfill, students and their kitchen habits play a major part in this.

To curve this problem, Stakware allows for students top log what cutlery they are bringing before university reducing the overconsumption and purchasing combined with its smart inventory and cleaning ensures proper storage and collection throughout the year.

Google Smartcard – A device to reduce phone use in an office space

The finer details – Stakware’s sustainable material choice present throughout the design.
Stakware’s mobile app allowing the communication of students and what they are bringing before and during university.
The smart card is held by the user in their wallet and vibrates in tandom with the phones wireless chargers LED glow regarding what notification has come through.
By glowing a certain colour, the user knows whether the notification is worthy of a phone pick up or not from a work email notification to a social media notification.
