Often focusing in on unique details and accidental occurrences, I am motivated by printing processes, and giving a voice to unnoticed visual texture. Viewers are encouraged to try to unravel the meaning and explore the ambiguity of each image.
There are hidden patterns and textures in objects all around us, and my practice draws attention to those unnoticed visual textures. As an artist, I take things and look at them differently, and when I present the work the ambiguity allows the viewers to see the images from a new perspective.
Natural objects are inherently complicated, yet simple at the same time, and through the different processes the image is put through, patterns such as spirals reveal themselves from something as ordinary as the layers within an onion. Print making is designed to make the perfect copy- my work defies that, aiming to create completely unique prints.
