I am curious and love to learn. I am inspired by myths, science and nature. I love playing with texture, colour, pattern and storytelling. Testing out unique processes to bring the theme to life.

“Out of body”

A project exploring reality dipping into themes of quantum physics, astro-projection, black holes and time relativity.

Above is my mood board and my initial experiments with colour and texture. Although this project ended up heavily digital, I always begin my projects with exploration. This helps the decisions relating to the project outcome, be it interiors, fashion or art displays.

Diving Into The Process

I went for a walk around Loughborough, taking photos of my reality.

Imagine a parallel universe where some things remaine the same eg. shops, buildings, parks. yet life is different and things are jumbled slightly out of place.
I took photos of my models and warped the images. This was inspired by the impact on pilots being hit with G-force. Wondering what the impacts would be on the body if it were to enter a wormhole?.
To bring this si-fi universe to life, I worked in 3D using ceramics to create ‘alien’ rocks inspired by bone structure.
My glaze tiles focusing on colour match and a crystallisation texture.
