Digital and traditional artist. Work focusing on ideas of womanhood, perceptions of gender and life as a plus-sized person.
My work follows my own experiences growing up plus sized and then dealing with symptoms of PCOS in adulthood. I seek to reframe ideas around body hair, putting them forefront in my works surrounded by vibrancy to divert from the idea that this is a part of womanhood that should be hidden. My work also investigates modern societies perception of gender, acknowledging how physical bodies influence our interpretations of inner masculinity and femineity.
My process is mixed between digital and traditional mediums, as I tend to use both interchangeably. I feel that both mediums meet my needs as an artist to deliver saturated colours, graphic linework and texture overlays.
