My practice explores the unconscious construction of identity in parallel to constructed self-portraiture. My medium is a blend of plaster and oil paint, applied using palette knives and trowels. I strive for raw, expressive portraits that resonate through gestural mark-making.

Charcoal Drawings

Charcoal drawings used to inform painting practice. Vary in size from 21.0 x 14.8cm (drawings 1-5), 29.6 x 21.0cm (drawing 6) and 84.1 x 59.4cm (drawings 7-9).
