I’m a creative, hardworking, and highly motivated individual with a passion for art and design. Currently studying Fine Art at Loughborough University alongside working as a School Club Supervisor and I also volunteer as a leader in the Girlguiding Association.
My work aims to explore the changing landscapes due to human intervention. I am investigating humanity’s impact through photography and I am questioning what is “natural” in a world dominated by humans with abandoned landscapes.
I aim to convey the need for increased transparency and accountability in the reporting of environmental issues through my sculptural photographs. Striving towards a more equitable and accurate representation of environmental issues in the news, in order to encourage meaningful action and a positive change to the planet. I use various medias including film photography, digital, acrylic, and metal.
During my placement year at University I undertook the Year In Enterprise programme which is an alternative to a placement or study abroad programme where students can create and run their own business.
I created Poppy Lavender which specialises in bespoke gifting and original artwork. Using a range of materials to create animal inspired pieces, including greeting cards, prints and clothing personalised with exclusive designs in an environmentally conscious manner. I sell them in person and online and I was nominated for three awards for the success of my business whilst taking part in the Year In Enterprise programme.
I am now looking forward to establishing my career in an exciting and creative role.
